On Monday 17th of September 2018. We had a syndicate assembly at the assembly.
I had been chosen to go up receive a Duffy Award because I had been reading well. I chose two books and the name of the two books I choose was The Ghost Light and The New Girl. I chose those books because they looked and sounded interesting. . I was nervous because as soon as they chose me, I had numb foot and whenever you have numb feet its means you have pins and needles and that makes you kind of walk like a penguin or cricket which is really embarrassing. I was extremely nervous and I even had to take a picture.
I am a Year 8 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Mr Reid.

Daffodil Day
Today we had Daffodil Day.
Daffodil Day is to support the people who have cancer. We supported cancer by fundraising to help the people who research the disease find a cure for those people with cancer to maybe live for an extra day or maybe even for the rest of their life.
Later we made paper daffodils and I asked Mrs Vickers how much money we made today and she said, "$73." I was like WOW!
That is amazing that we are going to definitely give that to the people with cancer.

Our Last Day With Coach Reene.😔😔
Yesterday we had our last three session with coach Reene.
we had to choose a game out of these four game of , boys Vs girls, elimination, a tournament or just a combination we chose to do a combination because we wanted it to be more fun and learn more stuff about when your in an competition. It was so fun but sad because she was leaving. When we finished all the games we did a photo to remember that she was the one to teach us how to play volleyball.
She taught us how to do a over arm serve, underarm serve a dig, a spike and a two hand serve. It was so fun, I had heaps of fun with coach Reene .
I loved playing with coach Reene but we had to let her go to teach some other people how to play.😔
At the end Katrina and Saluselo said a thank you to her in front of the whole room 12.
