Millions Of Children Walk For Climate Change

On September 22nd millions of people had taken part in  the global climate change protest. 

The protest is said to be the biggest protest we've ever had. Protesters from over 150 countries have taken part in demonstrations. The aim is to try put pressure on the MP'S, governments and councils to do more about climate change. Lots of children all over the world think that adults and big companies aren’t doing enough to tackle climate change and they want their voices to be heard. The strikes are going to be before the United Nations Climate Change Summit. Jacinda Ardern (The Prime Minister) will be attending for New Zealand. Those taking part want world leaders to take more urgent action to protect the planet now and in the future.

Flight postponed As Pilot Loses Passport

On Thursday the 12th there was a flight from Vietnam that was postponed 11 hours after the pilot had lost his passport.


The 160 passengers had to wait for a replacement pilot to be found but becuase the flight was late at night it wasn’t possible until the following day. The flight finally took off at 9.40am on Saturday. It was supposed to leave at 10.35pm on Friday. The airline booked travellers into hotels and provided breakfast.The airline is also investigating exactly how the pilot lost his travel papers.

Prime Minister Ardern Meets With Twitter CEO

On september the 9th Jacinda Ardern had a meeting with the twitter CEO ( Cheif executive officer ).

Jacinda Ardern had talked with Jack Dorsey ( The CEO ) about getting rid of some extreme groups on the social media site ( Twitter ).

 Ardern and Dorsey had a meeting in Paris earlier this year about the Christchurch Attacks. A spokesperson for Ardern said ''conversations between the two have been ongoing'' and it is possibly about the christchurch attacks. 

A number of social media sites have been criticised for not doing enough to keep people safe online and get rid of extremist views.

Measles Outbreak Hits New Zealand

On September the 1st, New Zealand had a massive outbreak of measles. 

The measles have mostly affected children younger than five and those aged between 15 and 29. Auckland Regional Public Health Service has said that New Zealand has now lost immunity against measles.

There will be more people in the hospital in a few more days or weeks trying to cure people with the measles. Measles are very contagious so when one person is infected, it could spread to about 15 or more people when they cough or sneeze.
