In Hamilton the citizens funding have raised enough for a new rail service from Hamilton to Auckland. That means that there will be a station in Hamilton and it will be made by next year. It will cost around $92 million.
The final aim is to get the train all the way into Britomart which is in Auckland City. The transporter Minister Phil Twyford announced the funding on Friday, saying that more and more people are travelling around on different rail systems makking it even longer. Passengers will need to know that the new route is going from Hamilton to Papakura, so therefore they would need to switch trains.
I am a Year 8 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 8 and my teacher is Mr Reid.

On Thursday the 14th of August there were human penguin sized fossils found in Waipara.
The fossilised bones were found by a lovely lady named Leigh Love. Apparently the fossils have been there for about a year and had only been found yesterday. There were Five other penguin species have been discovered at the same site. It is believed that the species was alive between 56 million and 66 million years ago. Warehouse Creates New Zealand’s First Online Mall
On august the 5th the warehouse launched a one stop online-shop. It has been announced as New Zealand’s biggest online mall.
Last Thursday morning a The Market was launched with over 1500 stores on it. The new website cost at-least $12 million or over to build. New Zealand is currently the lowest for people buying stuff online. There is a lot of people thinking that this was a good idea because all they need to do is order and it'll be brought to them. It is much easier because now they wont have to go anywhere with the weather;

KAYAKING!!
Today we went to Wero White Water Park for kayaking. It was our second time going there but the first time we went we did something different with a group but today we did KAYAKING!! buy ourselves.
I fell out of my kayak about two times and pushed three people put of the boat. The water was freezing cold but even colder with the wind blowing at us. we had three tutors but they didn't tell us their name. One of my friends didn't fall out but she got wet four by one of the tutors. When we got out i got my bag and went straight to the shower because i was really cold.
It was so much fun.
