Funding For Hamilton To Auckland Rail Service

In Hamilton the citizens funding have raised enough for a new rail service from Hamilton to Auckland. That means that there will be a station in Hamilton and it will be made by next year. It will cost around $92 million.

The final aim is to get the train all the way into Britomart which is in Auckland City. The transporter Minister Phil Twyford announced the funding on Friday, saying that more and more people are travelling around on different rail systems makking it even longer. Passengers will need to know that the new route is going from Hamilton to Papakura, so therefore they would need to switch trains.
